Earthbeat Seeds is a medicinal herb and native plant seed company. We sell online and have displays in stores.

Until 2023, I was in VT growing over 100 species or about 75% of the seeds I offer and sourcing from other growers.  Last year I relocated to CO due to flooding on my VT site and the increasingly rainy climate being detrimental to seed growing.  I am currently looking for land in CO, and will be shifting to growing native CO wildflowers along with the medicinal herbs I have grown in the past.  This year I have displays in 32 stores and my goal is to continue to expand to new regions of the country.  I am also hoping to restart my nursery buisness, after taking 4 years off to focus on seed productions and sales, and grow native plants for land restoration projects and the local community

Business Plan

I do not have one

  • Organic Practice
  • Regenerative

Additional Details

I utilize permaculture principles to assess land usage, conduct site planning, implement site work, and create holistic and sustainable systems.  Since the majority of my crops are perennial, I have found it beneficial to establish no till, permanent plantings of polycrops that evolve naturally into micro ecosystems.  The first few years I utilize heavy mulching to suppress weeds, allow plantings to reach maturity and build soil.  Then the majority of perennials will self mulch and require little maintenance.  Annuals are grown in more tended beds or interplanted amongst young perennials.  I would love the opportunity to incorporate agroforestry and establish wild plantings on a large scale.

Equipment and Infrastructure Details

If my seed packing and fulfillment center were to be on site I would need a 500-800 sq ft. climate controlled building with electricity to run the buisness out of.  Processing of seed crops requires a seasonal structure like a large dry shed, high tunnel, or greenhouse to utilize from July-November, and access to electricity even a simple as running 1-2 extension cords.  Starting up the native plant nursery would require a high tunnel and irrigation lines.

I am open to providing my own infrastructure if needed.
