Disclaimer and Release Form

Colorado Land Link is a program of Guidestone Colorado, a nonprofit organization growing a vibrant agricultural future through education, community building, and partnerships. Colorado Land Link creates innovative solutions to the challenges of agricultural land access and land succession while providing professional educational and resource support to ranchers, farmers, landholders and landseekers in order to secure agriculture’s future on the land.

The function of the Colorado Land Access Database is limited to providing information. It cannot guarantee a successful land match and is released from responsibility for any loss, damage or injury that may occur as a result of inquiries. As a user of this website, you expressly agree that the use of, and browsing of this website is at your own risk. By creating and submitting a profile, you are giving Guidestone Colorado permission to post your information on its website. It is your responsibility to contact Guidestone staff if you are no longer interested in participating in the program.

Guidestone Colorado and Colorado Land Link are not involved in real estate listing, brokerage or sales activities. Guidestone does not represent buyers or sellers of properties and is not affiliated with buyers, sellers or their representatives who list, advertise, sell or rent properties on the website. Guidestone does not receive any real estate commissions before, during or after any transactions directly related to this site. Guidestone may allow third parties to post advertisements on this website. Any such advertisements are not an endorsement of the product or services advertised therein.

Guidestone Colorado is not liable for any direct, incidental, special, consequential, indirect or punitive damages arising out of your access to, or use of, or inability to use the Colorado Land Access Database or any linked site, the acts or omissions of a Regional Navigator from whom you have procured services, or for the cost of procurement of substitute services or resulting from any services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through the Colorado Land Access Database, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, use, data or other intangible property including legal costs and expenses, even if Guidestone has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The following are expectations of those using the resources and services provided by Guidestone Colorado including the Colorado Land Access Database:

  • Be polite and respectful – demonstrate respect for each other throughout all your interactions, including email and phone communications as well as in-person.
  • Be truthful – ensure your profile and all related information you share, whether written or verbal, is an honest and accurate representation of yourself, your land or your farming experience, and the opportunity you are seeking or offering. Guidestone is not responsible for the accuracy of the information posted by others on the Colorado Land Access Database.
  • Be inclusive - recognize that everyone has their own perspectives based on their experience and identity. Keep an open mindset; be open to new ideas, working with new people, and being challenged while staying respectful.
  • Be engaged - be sure to respond to all inquiries you receive so that users know your profile is active. Most website users have chosen to communicate via email, which tends to be a slower form of communication compared to phone calls or text messages. Delayed responses are expected when communicating via email, but users who do not respond to inquiries from other users or Colorado Land Link will have their profiles removed for inactivity until a response is received.

Guidestone Colorado acknowledges that differences in opinions and conflicts are normal in interpersonal interactions and uncomfortable situations may arise. We ask that you work to address these differences in a respectful and civil manner before contacting Guidestone staff.  If you feel that another website user has violated these terms of use and are uncomfortable addressing the issue directly with that user, or have been unsuccessful in resolving the issue, you may report the issue to Colorado Land Link staff at info@coloradolandlink.org. Serious violations to the terms of use, such as hate speech, sexual, racial, or ethnic slurs, discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior of any kind, will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal of a profile from the website and/or other restrictions on a user’s access to associated services.

Guidestone will review each report of violation of this terms of use and will use our discretion to appropriately address the situation. Guidestone has the right to discontinue profile holders’ use of Colorado Land Access Database at any time, but additional actions with users who are in violation of the terms of use may be taken. These additional actions include, but are not limited to:

  1. Notify a user of reported misconduct
  2. Communicate via phone call or email with the parties involved to learn more about the reported misconduct and determine if a violation has been made
  3. Refer parties to Colorado Agricultural Mediation Program (CAMP) or other conflict transformation organization
