Seeking
- Grazing Land
- 11-25 acres
- Short-term lease (1-4 years)
Desired Locations
Primarily equine hobby farm with 4-6 horses and 2 sheep living as nature intended
Goals, Values, Vision
Our little farm in North Longmont/Mead is home to horses, sheep, chickens, and pheasants. Sadly, our lease on 53 beautiful acres is ending because the property is being sold for development. It breaks my heart to see this land disappear.
My vision is simple: horses deserve room to roam, graze, and just be horses. Watching them thrive in open space is what I love most, and I hope to continue that. I'm passionate about regenerative grazing, healthy pastures, and biodiversity, and want to be a good steward of the land.
I'm seeking pasture with water access for my horses and two sheep, plus space for free-range chickens. I provide hay year-round and can help with fencing and shelter.

Additional Details
I'm still learning, but I'm passionate about regenerative farming and creating healthy, biodiverse pastures where animals and the land benefit each other. I'm interested in rotational grazing, overseeding with native grasses and wildflowers, and naturally improving soil health. I've used a Paddock Paradise track system on small acreage to encourage natural movement in horses while allowing pastures to rest without sacrificing green space to dry lots. My sheep provide natural fertilizer, while chickens forage for insects and weed seeds, helping nourish the soil. Our guineas help with pest control. My goal is to work with nature, not against it!

Desired Infrastructure
Equipment and Infrastructure Details
My infrastructure needs are pretty simple! Ideally, I'm looking for fenced pasture with access to water (a spigot is perfect!) and electricity. I'm flexible and can help with fencing or make improvements as needed. I already have just about everything else—chicken coops, portable panels, hay huts, water troughs, and temporary shelters, including the option of a loafing shed on skids.
While a barn would be great, what I really need is the land itself. A safe place where my horses, sheep, and birds can roam, graze, and thrive. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just enough space to give my animals a good life while caring for the land they're on.
