Goals, Values, Vision
I'm 40 and intentionally building a life closer to the land. My North Star is a place where food is grown responsibly, animals are treated as family, knowledge is shared, and the work strengthens the people and land around it. I built and maintained a backyard greenhouse in Las Vegas and am now studying herbalism while seeking hands-on agricultural experience. I bring years of operations, purchasing, inventory, and small-business experience. I'm not trying to skip the learning stage. I want to become a capable grower and steward, contribute to an existing operation, and eventually help build a regenerative farm or homestead that can sustain itself and support my family.

I'm interested in regenerative and organic growing practices that improve soil health, conserve water, support biodiversity, and make good use of the resources already on the land. My hands-on experience began with a backyard greenhouse, where I grew vegetables, herbs, seedlings, and ornamentals and learned through observation, watering, transplanting, soil care, and adjusting to the desert climate. I'm especially interested in food production, useful and medicinal plants, greenhouse growing, composting, and eventually integrating animals where appropriate. I want to learn from experienced growers and develop methods suited to the land rather than arrive with a fixed blueprint.

Equipment and Infrastructure Details
My priority is safe, year-round housing suitable for me and my dependent child, reliable water, and enough existing infrastructure to begin learning and producing without having to build everything from scratch. A greenhouse or high tunnel, irrigation, growing beds, storage, and basic wash/pack space would be especially useful. I'm open to restoring or improving existing systems and would love to learn those skills alongside an experienced landholder. If animals are part of the operation, appropriate fencing, shelter, and water access would matter too. Reliable transportation access to town and medical services is important for my family.
