Seeking
- Grazing Land
- 101-250 acres
- Short-term lease (1-4 years)
Desired Locations
Looking for a short to medium-term land lease or partnership for grazing small- to mid-sized cows and cow/calf pairs
Goals, Values, Vision
We are a small family/boutique breeder of small to mid-sized cows - highland and crosses, whitepark and crosses, belted galloway and crosses. They are typically purchased as pets or for homestead production. Our vision is to grow to a self-sustaining business.
Recently, we have begun rehabilitating our pastures, which means we need somewhere to graze our current herd while we regenerate. We also would like to grow but are currently landlocked. So a land lease or partnership type arrangement would allow us to rehabilitate what we have and also grow for going forward.

Production Practices
Additional Details
Our pastures were overgrazed when we purchased our ranch. We started using conventional methods, but as we have learned more about ranching and grazing in general, we recently have begun to work on regenerative methods. We currently use techniques such as pasture rotations and harrowing rather than manure removal. And this year will begin soil analysis and rebuilding via additives and seeding or cover crop rotations.

Desired Infrastructure
Equipment and Infrastructure Details
We run a simple operation needing shelter shade/windbreak, fencing for a range of cattle sizes from very small to mid-sized, and water. Fencing and water access is required. The location would determine what electric requirements would be needed. A barn isn't necessarily required, but would be looking for property that has shade or easy to add.
