Seeking

- 101-250 acres

Desired Locations
We are a regenerative ranch that raises hair sheep for meat & prescribed grazing operations for soil & forest health.
Goals, Values, Vision
I’m a regenerative rancher & fulltime firefighter. With these, my goals are to have property I can manage for medium - long term & implement practices that will improve the land to its former health/productivity. This way, the land is able to better capture & maintain a healthy water cycle, critical habitat for wildlife, & be more drought resistant than before.
Using my skills from years of both professions allows me a unique perspective on grassland & forest health, which I have used to successfully mitigate several small properties I currently lease & restore healthy soils in areas grasses struggled. I also want to help prevent good farmland w/ heritage from being destroyed by development.

Production Practices
Additional Details
We are not certified organic but we extensively use organic methods, as we do not use chemicals or treated feeds. We also practice regenerative agriculture through our intensive rotational grazing methods with long rest periods, which mimic how grazing animals (like bison, elk, and deer) once used to maintain the grasslands and forests of Colorado with their normal migratory behavior.

Desired Infrastructure
Equipment and Infrastructure Details
We only require water onsite or nearby that is quality enough for watering animals. We have no other needs, as we have all our own equipment for the sheep including energizers and portable fencing. That being said, perimeter fencing with field fencing or better to contain sheep certainly is desirable, though it a mandatory need.
