Homeschool Family Seeks 2-5 Acre Foothills Lease for March 2027 Farm Launch. Backed by USDA Microloan Application.

Hi! We are a large homeschool family (6 adults, 5 kids) looking to secure a 2-5 acre lease this winter for a March 2027 launch of Milk and Honey Pierce Family Farms LLC.

We will commute daily from Lakewood. Pending USDA loan for a temporary setup: 2 high tunnels, 20 layers, 4 milking does, 10 hives, and a cargo trailer.

I have 5+ years of bookkeeping/business experience.

My husband, Eugene, has a year of ranching experience (chickens, sheep, trout hatchery, goat care).

Our adult sons (22 & 23) add great skills: one does handy-work, landscaping, and chicken care, and the other is a professional horse farrier.

Seeking a $0 lease or 10% crop-share to protect your Ag Tax status!

Additional Details

Our farm will use a low-impact, zero-waste integrated biological loop.

We plan to use heavy UV silage tarps for stale seedbed weed suppression and manual broadforking to fracture clay without destroying soil biology.

Beds will be layered with 4 inches of rich, thermal farm compost produced on-site from our dairy goat straw bedding and chicken manure.

We plan to use high-efficiency drip tape lines with solar timers to conserve water and prevent topsoil erosion.

Livestock will be managed on intense, rotational pasture grids using solar-powered electric nets to build soil health naturally.

Equipment and Infrastructure Details

We require raw or under-utilized A-2/A-3 zoned land with baseline water access (well tap, hydrant, or water line).

We do not require a house, barn, or permanent structures.

Our entire layout is temporary and removable: we plan to deploy an off-grid 7x14 enclosed cargo trailer that will serve as our solar-powered tool vault and walk-in CoolBot refrigerator room.

Fencing will be 1,380 linear feet of temporary solar electric poultry netting.

Our vegetable garden will use 2 temporary, removable Caterpillar tunnels.

We just need open terrain and a water hookup to launch our commuter block.
